Working on a collaborative project
When you submit your Note of interest form (Word) you can provide as much or as little information as you've considered. As long as we have the basic idea, we can see how it might make a great project.
The answers to the following questions can help us find the best option for you:
- What do you want to achieve by doing this?
- Who do you want to reach and why? (go beyond ‘general public’)
Your collaboration project must be approved by the Programmes and Exhibitions Committee before you can include it in any grant applications.
Planning and delivering a project
Projects with University Museums and Collections are collaborative. You bring your subject expertise and we bring our knowledge of the collections and experience in creating exciting programmes and exhibitions.
Weekly activities depend on the project and the stage of development. Typical tasks for a big exhibition in the Albany Gallery include:
- attending meetings (60 to 90 minutes every two weeks)
- developing ideas, objectives and audiences
- advising and supporting content development
- reading text to ensure accuracy
- supporting grant applications
- some involvement in the programme
- advising on evaluation.
