The fundamental aim of the staff desktop is to provide a supported and enabling service for Windows PCs and laptops.

Key features of the new Staff Desktop include a faster login process, self-service software application management and improved security.

The staff desktop has been designed to meet the needs of our diverse user base and balances enabling user autonomy, productivity and flexibility with maintaining management and security.

What is included with the Staff Desktop?

Nuance PDF Converter Enterprise 8

Media Players (Windows Media Player, VLC)

Anti Virus Software (F-Secure)

eduroam Configuration Utility (laptops only)

Cisco Anyconnect VPN client (laptops only)

Self-Service Software Applications

The Software Center portal has been provided to allow staff to search, install and remove software.
