Booking

Registration fee includes tea/coffee and lunches on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, tea/coffee on Saturday, wine reception and conference dinner on Friday.

  • Discounted rate for ARMES subscribers - £95
  • Standard rate - £110

Accommodation at Agnes Blackadder Hall - Monday to Friday inclusive.

  • Single occupancy of double room bed and breakfast - £45 a night
  • Double occupancy where both occupants have registered for the conference - £60 a night
  • Guests not registered for the conference may share a room with registered conference member  - £18 a night

Day excursion to the Hunterian Museum in Glasgow, the Antonine Wall and the National Museum of Scotland - £18

Guests may join the excursion (£18) and/or the dinner (£47.50)

Accommodation at Agnes Blackadder Hall for 11th June onwards should be booked directly with the Hall.

Venues

The Swallowgate Building will be used for initial registration and information facilities, and the conference reception. Conference sessions, poster galleries and coffee breaks will be accommodated in the Physics Building, North Haugh. The  Conference Dinner will be in Lower College Hall in the heart of the University. Re-enactment demonstrations will be held in the open spaces of the North Haugh.

Catering and Entertainment

There will be a preliminary drinks reception and a Conference Dinner, lunches and coffee-breaks.  There are numerous restaurants and pubs serving food around St Andrews for informal evening dining.

Accommodation

Rooms have been reserved in Agnes Blackadder Hall on the North Haugh.  Conference attendees will be provided with lists of hotel and B&B accommodation in the town.
