Postgraduate study other than PhD

Besides the full-fledged PhD programme, there are possibilities to enrol for shorter taught and/or research-based postgraduate courses in Chemistry. The MPhil programme is comprised of a mostly taught first year, followed by a one-year research project with a supervisor from the staff list. Well-qualified candidates may be admitted directly into the second, research-based year. The MSc programme is essentially a one-year taught course with a short research-based project. Funding opportunities are much more limited for these shorter programmes.
