The Chaplain, Revd Dr Donald MacEwan, and Assistant Chaplain, Revd Samantha Ferguson, are available to offer pastoral care for any student or member of staff, regardless of faith or philosophy of life. This could be sympathetic, confidential listening ear, support in emotional issues, a safe place to explore questions of faith, someone to talk to in a crisis, about a personal relationship or family worries, bereavement, or support when all else fails.
The chaplains also offers confidential support to people on questions of sexuality. Online resources for Christians and others over issues in sexuality can be found at Affirmation Scotland. Muslim students with questions relating to their sexuality are welcome to approach the Honorary Islamic Chaplain to the University, Imam Abdul Rauf (email@example.com).
