Jinyu's research is funded by the Scottish Institute for Research in Economics (SIRE) Scholarship for her PhD period from 2008 to 2011. Before PhD research in St Andrews, Jinyu used to work in Visa Inc. Beijing Branch as a Project Assistant in China. She completed her Master Degree from the University of Essex in 2007. In 2006, she achieved a BCom degree in Economics and Finance with a First Class Honours, Distinction in Mathematics and Senior Prize in Finance from the University of Auckland.

Research Interests
DSGE models, monetary policies, inflation targeting, financial intermediation and financial frictions.
Jinyu's PhD research is focused on the DSGE modeling with financial intermediation and financial frictions, and on the long-run effects of unconventional monetary policies.
