Welcome to delivered Catering Services
Catering Services is University of St Andrews’ delivered hospitality service, providing refreshments, snacks, lunches, buffets, dinners and much more to any location around the campus of St Andrews.
The catering team deliver high quality food which offers fantastic value for money and, since the operation is part of University of St Andrews, any surplus is reinvested back to support teaching, learning and research.
All of Catering Services' food is prepared at Agnes Blackadder Hall, located in the North Haugh and delivered by one of our highly professional team in a refrigerated vehicle.
How to order

Our standard delivery times are between 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday for order out with these times please contact Catering Services on the above.
Delivery at all other times, including weekends we require 7 WORKING days’ notice and with a minimum order value of £75.
Once your order has been placed you will be sent a booking form detailing the items ordered and the delivery details. Please check that all of the information on this form is correct.
We do ask that when booking you give as much notice as possible, no less than 2 working days, but we understand that occasionally bookings need to be made at the last minute. We will endeavour to deliver at short notice but this may affect the items you are able to order.
Changes to your booking
If you need to amend an order prior to your event please call or e-mail one of our catering team, quoting your booking reference number to let them know. Your booking will be amended where possible to reflect the changes and you will be sent a revised booking confirmation.
Allergens and special dietary requirements
All allergen ingredients are highlighted on the back of the cards that are provided with your lunch. A full list of ingredients and allergen information for all items can be supplied on request. We can cater for most dietary requirements just let us know what they are at the time of booking and our team can go through the alternatives available.
Crockery or disposable?
If required Catering Services will provide disposable crockery & cutlery for specific bookings, this decision will remain at the discretion of Catering Services and the customer will be informed this decision has been made if required.
Terms and conditions
Cancellations must be confirmed by e-mail and charges are as follows:
More than 48 hours no charge
Between 24 and 48 hours 50% charge
Less than 24 hours full charge
We ask customers to confirm final numbers two working days before the event. However, we understand that things can change and will try to accommodate where possible. Reductions in final numbers may incur a charge.
It is the responsibility of the customer making the booking to check that the intended delivery location has been booked and confirmed via the appropriate channels and is one in which catering is permitted.
Please book your order to arrive 15 minutes before it is required and make sure there is access to the room and a table provided for it to be set up on. If you are having a private meeting and don’t wish to be disturbed, please detail this in the catering notes section of the booking form.
Please ensure that all catering items are packed up ready for collection and placed outside the room at the end of a meeting to avoid any disruption. Catering services will aim to collect all equipment on the same day or by 10am the following day with the exception of weekends.
Payment can be made via internal charge or debit / credit card. All prices quoted exclude VAT. VAT at the current rate will be added to invoices for all customers other than those of University of St Andrews.
Please note the minimum order value is £15.00 and all bookings are subject to our terms and conditions. For deliveries outside of our core operating hours (which are 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday), the minimum order is £75.00.
Our menus have been designed for our guests to be able to serve themselves and are priced accordingly. Should you wish a member of the Hospitality Team to remain present at your event to assist in service a charge of £15.00 per hour per staff member will be charged.
To minimise the impact of our operation on the Environment University of St Andrews operate a Sustainable Food Policy. This means we only purchase fish species from sustainable, well managed sources as identified by the Marine Conservation Society. We also purchase locally produced items where possible; we only use free-range eggs supplies from Kilduncan Eggs in Kingsbarns. University of St Andrews also recycles all the food waste, waste oil, cardboard, cans, paper, glass, batteries and plastics used on a daily basis.
All foods are served in fully recyclable/biodegradable and disposable plastic where applicable.
To ensure compliance with Licensing Regulations, if your booking includes alcoholic beverages please contact catering services to arrange this. Catering Services will not provide alcoholic beverages if license conditions are not met.
