Professional Skills Curriculum (PSC)
The Professional Skills Curriculum (PSC) is a programme of workshops designed to build students’ employability skills.
The PSC is open to all students at the University.

Enhance your employability
PSC workshops help you develop employability skills in many areas, such as communication, organisation and management. These are highly valued by employers and will look great on your CVs and applications. You can also talk about them in interviews.
Flexible and varied programme
The PSC has a wide variety of workshops to suit your interests. See a list of current courses.
The PSC is very flexible, allowing you to dip in and out of courses, or to work towards the PSC Award or PSC+ Award.
Official recognition
If you complete the PSC programme, gaining the PSC Award:
- This will be recognised on your official Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) transcript.
- You will be awarded with an official University certificate and an electronic badge you can add to your LinkedIn profile.
- You will have the option of buying a certificate endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), confirming your completion of the programme.
