Careers Centre Service Update - 17/03/20
In response to the evolving developments surrounding Coronavirus (Covid-19) the Careers Centre building will be closed from Tuesday 17 March until further notice. We will still be providing support to students, alumni and employers, with a range of our services accessible remotely.
All careers appointments will be held remotely via Microsoft Teams if you are a current student/member of staff and Skype for Business if you are a graduate. More information on this can be found at IT Support. Careers appointments are, as always, bookable online on CareerConnect from 9:30 am on the day.
When booking an appointment, please ensure that your contact details are up to date on CareerConnect and on the booking form, so that the Careers Adviser can make contact with you.
The adviser will contact you at the start time of your appointment – if we are unable to contact you within 5 minutes we will consider you absent. More information will follow shortly on our scheduled workshops.
Although the Careers Centre is closed, you can still access our website resources and contact us at email@example.com or using our online guidance function on Career Connect. Until further notice we cannot respond to calls to our central telephone number.
We will continue to take provisional bookings for activity planned for the autumn term, including careers fairs and recruitment presentations. Booking online for careers fairs will be available from 25 March 2020 and we welcome, and encourage, the opportunity to work with Employers and Alumni to offer virtual activities and events moving forward– please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to progress.
Employers/Alumni can continue to engage with students via our online vacancy system if applicable.
