Careers advice

During the first few weeks of semester our appointments book up quickly but we can always support you with CV, applications and interview skills at a group session.

We offer one-to-one appointments where you can discuss any career-related issue with one of our team of careers advisers who are professionally trained graduates from a variety of backgrounds.  We are constantly renewing our knowledge, and our very good relationships with graduate employers mean that we are regularly kept up-to-date with news of current graduate recruitment practices and trends. You do not need to know what you want to do before you come to see us –we see students at every stage of their journey.

The Careers Centre is strongly committed to offering equality of opportunity to all its users.  Advisers adhere to high professional standards and discussions will be conducted with impartiality, confidentiality and with due regard to diversity and equality considerations. A list of helpful resources is available on the Diversity and equality page of this website, and our careers advisers are happy to discuss specific issues.

All students, undergraduate and postgraduate, and alumni (within 3 years of graduation) are eligible ‌to use the service although some restrictions will be introduced at the busiest times of year. Read our Eligible user entitlement (PDF, 138 KB) policy for full details.
