The information on these pages provide information for 1000- and 2000-level modules taught by the School of Physics and Astronomy in the session 2025-2026.

Students are asked to read the information carefully, and are expected to be familiar with the contents. As well as providing useful information, this is the "rule book" for these modules.

School-specific policies should be read in conjunction with the University's centrally published Student handbook. If there are any discrepancies between information here and that published by the University, the latter takes precedence.

Module offerings in the School of Physics and Astronomy may change from year to year. The 2025-2026 modules described in this handbook are only indicative of what will be offered in future years.

The Director of Teaching is available to meet with students to discuss any aspects of their study at the School of Physics and Astronomy.
