Nicôle joined the school as Associate Lecturer in Museum and Gallery Studies in 2016 from the University of Glasgow.  Nicôle has worked in diverse roles across the museum sector in the UK and US. She has been Head of Education at the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery (University of Glasgow), managed a digitisation traineeship programme for young people at the National Galleries of Scotland and assisted with the curation of the National Mining Museum's (Colorado) geology collections during her time as the Elsevier Fulbright Scholar in Bibliometrics.

Nicôle's interests lie in questions of networked memory in the digital age and the idea of the digital object as an object in its own right.  Her research thinks about how museums understand and use digital objects, and the impact of this on their audiences.
