When making DTP inferences political theorists use an explanation of RDJ to justify one “view of politics” over another. The Conceptual View is, I say, a family of theories that explain RDJ by citing facts about concept possession and use as difference makers. This paper\/chapter is about arguing for a theory that offers a better Conceptual Explanation of RDJ than the extant theories.
