This workshop aims to bring together researchers from philosophy and linguistics to discuss tense in natural language. Among the questions to be addressed may be the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Should tense be analyzed with object-language quantifiers and variables, or could an adequate analysis be provided using Priorian operators?
\nTo what extent should tense and modality receive parallel treatments in semantics?
\nWhat can we learn from data concerning embedded tenses?
\nDoes the semantics of tense tell us anything about the metaphysics of time, or vice versa?
\nAre propositions temporally neutral, or are they time-specific objects with eternal truth-conditions?
\nCan the compositional semantics of tense tell us anything about whether temporalism or eternalism about propositions is correct?
\nWhat is the status of the Kaplanian “operator argument” for temporalism?
