Research

I studied philosophy at La Sapienza University (Rome) and received my doctorate from the KU Leuven (Belgium) and the University of Tours (France). Since 2017 I joined the department of Philosophy in St Andrews as postdoctoral fellow, working on the project ‘Theories of Paradox in Fourteenth-Century Logic: Edition and Translation of Key Texts’ with Stephen Read (https://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/~slr/paradox.html).  I am working on logic and semantic paradoxes, theories of signification and truth, accounts of formal validity elaborated by the late medieval thinkers, particularly by John Dumbleton, Roger Swyneshed and Paul of Venice. More generally, I am interested in history of logic and philosophy of language, and in History of Philosophy, especially from ancient to early modern periods.
