The Arché Research Centre at The University of St Andrews is pleased to announce the 2nd Arché Summer School 2009. The Summer School will take place in St Andrews from June 29 – July 3, 2009, preceded by a formal welcome and wine reception on the evening of June the 28th.

The Summer School will consist of four streams each of which will offer high-level, research orientated classes on issues related to one of Arché’s four major AHRC projects: Contextualism and Relativism, Basic Knowledge, Methodology and Foundation of Logical Consequence.

Classes will be coordinated and partly tutored by Arché Professors and Professorial Fellows, Jessica Brown, Herman Cappelen, Graham Priest, Stephen Read, Stewart Shapiro, Brian Weatherson and Crispin Wright, together with Arché’s Postdoctoral Research Fellows. As well as four days of intensive course work there will also be a conference day where Arché Professors and Professorial fellows will present research papers.

The Summer School is aimed at Ph.D. students and early career philosophers.

Registration closes on 22 May. Spaces will be strictly limited. Those who have been allocated a space in the Summer School will be notified by 27 May.
