Herman Cappelen is to be awarded a Research Prize from the Professor Ingerid Dal and Sister Ulrikke Greve Dals Award in support of Reasearch in the Humanities. The event will take place on May 5th from 11 am to 1 pm, at the Faculty Club, Institutt for filosofi, ide- og kunsthistorie og klassiske språk (IFIKK), when the Pro-Rector of the University will give him the prize, the diploma etc. Herman Cappelen will present some of his research, and in informal reception will be held.

The prize is awarded by the University of Oslo on behalf of the Reasearch Fund bequethed by the two sisters Dal. The prize is awarded for either philosophy, linguistics or mathematics. The money is NOK 200 000. It is not handed out yearly or regularly, only when the committee finds that there is a worthy recipient.
