Our research is driven by a vigorous and exciting research environment that brings together emerging and established academics working on a range of topics across the globe. Capable of attracting generous funding, we are involved in individual research projects as well as larger collaborative endeavours within and beyond anthropology.
The dynamism of our research agenda is reflected in our thematically-driven Research Centres as well as our regular Departmental Research Seminars, which are open to the public. We also often host conferences and workshops. For more details on these, please see All Events.
We also welcome post-doctoral scholars who wish to base their research activities in our Department. Please note that if you are interested in applying for funding (e.g. British Academy Post-Doctoral Fellowship, Newton Fellowship, Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship, ESRC Future Leaders award), you must contact the Department well in advance.
