Home / News / Dr Mette M. High, Department of Social Anthropology, University of St Andrews has been elected to join the committee of UK Future Earth.

 

Future Earth is a major new international transdisciplinary research programme announced at the Rio+20 conference. It aims to provide the critical knowledge needed to support transformations towards global sustainability. UK Future Earth is convened by the four UK national academies – the Academy of Medical Sciences, the British Academy, the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Royal Society. It also includes representation from the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the Royal Irish Academy, the Chief Executives of the Economic & Social Research Council and the Natural Environment Research Council, as well as the Chief Scientific Advisers of the Department for International Development, the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, and the Department of Energy & Climate Change.
