Assistant warden role

The University of St Andrews is proud to provide a highly regarded, world class wardennial service as a core offering to students living within University residences. The service is an essential element of the student experience at St Andrews and the wardennial team plays a major role in defining student life in each residence. The role of assistant warden is challenging but rewarding. As an assistant warden you will live as part of the residence community and help develop a strong and positive residence identity, while advising and guiding students as they settle into University life.  The role of assistant warden is open to staff (minimum 0.5 FTE) and PhD students only.

‌Applying to become an assistant warden

Vacancies for assistant wardens are advertised on this page when they become available. 

All applications should consist of the following documents and should be emailed to Eilidh Phillips (erp1@st-andrews.ac.uk)

If there are vacancies in multiple halls that you wish to apply for, you may complete one application and indicate on your application form which halls you are applying to. You may list the halls in order of preference if you wish. 

Following your application we will be in touch as your application progresses. Please note that applicants who have not heard from Student Services within 4 weeks of the closing date should expect that their application has not been successful.
