50 years since graduation, 50 years since matriculation
Monday 13 November 2017
During the first weekend in November, we were delighted to welcome two groups of alumni back 'home' to St Andrews: one to celebrate 50 years since they graduated and the other 50 years since they matriculated.
50 years since graduation...
Most of the members of the '67 Medical Club have kept in touch since graduation day and have met up at previous reunions. For a few, however, this was the first reunion they had attended. Members travelled from as far afield as Australia, New Zealand and Ghana for the special celebratory drinks reception and dinner, which was held at the Old Course Hotel.

The same weekend, a group of 1967 bejants and bejantines, brought together by Sue and Richard Street, celebrated 50 years of friendship by meeting up for lunch at the Byre Theatre. Among the group were a number of former Mermaids who had also come to St Andrews for the Mermaids 100th Anniversary celebrations. Richard himself is a past President.
Liam Sinclair - Artistic Director of the Byre Theatre - welcomed the group and explained how the Byre Theatre had come to be under University management. He then handed over to Mark Bunyan who treated everybody to a cabaret act which took them all on a very amusing and nostalgic trip down memory lane before lunch.
