Ten Years and £1 million of Santander Support

The University of St Andrews is delighted to be a part of the Santander Universities network, which is committed to supporting Higher Education Institutions in more than 20 countries across the world. The bank has been working in the education sector for over 20 years and now comprises over 1,100 universities worldwide.

On Thursday 20 April Matt Hutnell, Director of Santander Universities UK joined Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sally Mapstone, Director of Development, Robert Fleming and beneficiaries of Santander funding at St Andrews to celebrate an ongoing 10 year partnership, and over £1 million of generous Santander Universities UK support.

The partnership has supported a number of scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, provided travel scholarships for research and study and facilitated entrepreneurial activities across the University. In addition, it has sponsored a huge number of internship opportunities and provided support and funding for special projects throughout the University.

Guests were invited to view a new video demonstrating some of the work that Santander funding has helped to make possible and giving the students featured the opportunity to thank Santander for their generosity.
