St Andrews at Westminster

Monday 27 March 2017

The contribution that the University of St Andrews makes to North East Fife, Scotland and the world was celebrated at Westminster earlier this month.

North East Fife MP Stephen Gethins hosted a reception on behalf of Principal Sally Mapstone (pictured right with Stephen Gethins MP) in Parliament to recognise the work the University is involved in and the investment it is making in the future – including the multi-million pound green energy centre at Eden Campus, a new community access music centre and the creation of a new home for the world-leading Scottish Oceans Institute.

‌Professor Mapstone and a team from St Andrews (pictured above) – including Director of Development, Robert Fleming (back row, second from left) and Associate Head of Development (London) Joanne Finnie Jones (front row, second from left) – attended a reception in the Strangers’ Dining Room with MPs from across the political spectrum and members of the House of Lords.

After the reception Professor Mapstone and the St Andrews contingent were given a tour of the Houses of Parliament.
