We all know St Andrews is a great place to live and study.
Our students have voted St Andrews the top multi-faculty university in the UK for five years running in the National Student Survey.
The survey invites them to rate their satisfaction with teaching, assessment, academic support, personal development and other elements of university life. The overwhelmingly positive response we receive is testament to the quality of learning experience, the encouragement and support that St Andrews offers.
However, to maintain these high standards a significant investment must be made in improved facilities and resources.
St Andrews has more than 140 student societies that together create a buzzing social life for our students. In 2013 work began on the redevelopment of the Students’ Association and alumni gifts have ensured that the first phase of this project is now complete and the second phase is well underway.
Our student athletes are determined. They frequently top the leagues of competitive student sport and are in demand both nationally and internationally. All of our students’ sporting successes have been achieved without the aid of ultramodern facilities; imagine what they can achieve with our continued commitment to their sporting future. The plans we have put in place, to redevelop our Sports Centre, will address these needs.
