This section of the guide provides a set of experiments which are designed to help you understand the basic properties of electronic circuits and systems. Eventually, there will be a range of two sorts of experiments:

The virtual (computer) experiments require you to use a Java-enabled web-browser. I have chosen Java for these experiments to try and ensure that they will work on as many types of computer as possible.

The first set of Java experiments are:

Practical Experiments

The following pages are based on the labscript for a laboratory practical course. The aim of the course is to provide a basic introduction to practical electronics. Ideally, you should carry out the experiments as described. However, reading the pages may be of interest as they provide information on practical points that are not mentioned in most books. Please bear in mind, though, that the pages are only meant as a guide for some specific experiments. The pages are based on a labscript developed jointly by J. C. G. Lesurf and D. A. Robertson.
