Biographical information

I am a Ph.D. student in Philosophy at the University of St Andrews. Prior to starting the Ph.D. I did an M.Litt. in Philosophy at St Andrews, which was in turn preceded by an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford (St Edmund Hall). My research focuses on metaphysics and Kant. With respect to the former, I am particularly interested in issues pertaining to identity, persistence, composition, intrinsicality and supervenience. As regards the latter, I focus on transcendental idealism, transcendental freedom and the tables of categories. My Ph.D. dissertation lies at the intersection of these interests insofar as it constitutes a systematic elaboration and defence of the metaphysics of transcendental idealism that makes use of a number of philosophical tools developed in contemporary metaphysics. The project is not historical or exegetical in nature, but rather tries to deal with transcendental idealism in a systematic manner.
