Research Bio.
BA and MSc at Trinity College, Dublin (thesis topic: exact solutions in general relativity)
PhD at National University of Ireland (thesis topic: geometry of supergravity)
Postdoctoral appointments: 2004-2007 University of St Andrews. 2007-2008 Max Planck Institute for Optics, Information and Photonics, Erlangen. 2008-2009 National University of Singapore. 2009-present University of St Andrews.
Current Research
Currently my main research is on Casimir forces and macroscopic QED. I also maintain an interest in laboratory analogues of black and white holes, and transformation optics.
