Publications: We publish the results of our research in leading international refereed journals. Our rate of publication is high (between ten and twenty publications per year), and we have over two hundred publications as a group. More important is the considerable impact of those publications - starting new fields of research, obtaining new insights into materials and devices, and reporting new measurement techniques that are subsequently widely used. As a result our publications have been cited (referenced) more than 5000 times, and are currently cited nearly a thousand times per year.
Conferences: We regularly present our work at leading national and international scientific meetings to discuss our work, frequently presenting posters and presentations. With locations as exotic as Brazil and Portugal, and conferences as prestigious as ICSM, SID and SPIE:Photonics, we regularly inform others of our work and learn about theirs.
Intellectual Property: Our innovative research has led to many inventions which have been patented. The majority have been licensed to companies and are being developed towards commercial application in companies such as CDT Ltd, Arborescent and Lumicure Ltd. These innovations build on the understanding of materials and devices that we develop, which naturally leads to ways of improving them.
