My particular research interests are in the development of Critical Reasoning skills in undergraduates and I also contribute regularly to Public Understanding of Science events. I also have an interest in web-based resources for learning and teaching. I'm Principal Teaching Fellow in the School of Psychology here at the University of St. Andrews. I currently teach, as well as being Module Controller, for PS1901, PS3031(Conceptual and Historical Issues) and am course controller for PS2091 and PS3092 on our Evening Degree programme. I also contribute to our research methods modules in third year having previously run them and give occasional classes to our first year course. I have six second year tutorial groups, four review essay students and eight Masters students attend PS5231. I am second supervisor to a final year Ph.D student.
