Limited edition artist's book of 25 linocuts
HC2003.28
Adrian Wiszniewski was born in Glasgow and studied at Glasgow School
of Art from 1979 to 1983. He is well known for his figurative
images. These prints are the first linocuts created by Wiszniewski
and are carried out in his distinctive linear style. For Max is
a pictorial narrative without words.
The book is made up of 25 prints, each print being a single linocut
of one colour on paper. The prints tell the story of a man who
discovers a strange object in a box and sets out to discover its function. The
artist made a limited edition of 100 copies of For Max .
The work is a dedication to his son Max, who was born in 1987.
