AVTIS: Field Setup |
<< previous |

The entire system is run from a single laptop via a dedicated 19’’ rack-mount control box. The PSUCB is itself contained in a suitcase sized transport case. Power is supplied from two standard 12V car batteries, one to run the radar and one for the gimbal. Setup time is around 10 minutes with a further 10 minutes or so to allow for component warm up. Take down time has been as little as three minutes. A fully charged set of batteries allow between 6 and 8 hours of continuous use (depending on the size of batteries!).
