BA, Philosophy, Biola University
MFA, Creative Writing: Poetry, Seattle Pacific UniversityThesis topic/academic interests
Timothy reckons that the character development of the protagonists in Henry Longfellow's hexameter romances is modeled upon the orthodox Christian doctrine of theosis. His secondary interests include patristic poetry—especially the verse of St Gregory Nazianzen—classical poetics, and neoformalist verse. He also reckons you should read more Longfellow. His research is being supervised by Gavin Hopps.Other information
Timothy lives in Edinburgh with his wife, the marvellous Hope. In his gleefully limited free time, he writes sonnet-sized poems and plays about California history, watches Samurai films, and supports the UK craft-brewing industry.Contact information
