This seminar marks the publication of Extreme Right Wing Political Violence and Terrorism edited by Max Taylor, Donald Holbrook and Mark Currie and published by Bloomsbury. It will also be an occasion to thank Max Taylor for all his contributions while Professor of International Relations and Director, CSTPV and to wish him well in his retirement.

CSTPV is delighted to welcome Dr Basia Spalek, Reader in Communities & Justice and Director of Research & Knowledge Transfer, School of Social Policy, University of Birmingham back to St Andrews for a workshop which will review and discuss academic research and practitioner experience in the field of police and community engagement in a counter-terrorism context. Dr. Spalek is the leading academic in this challenging arena and is adept at balancing policy, practitioner and community perspectives.
