St Andrews benefits greatly from having such a diverse mixture of staff and students. Furthermore, the University is committed to ensuring that all staff have the opportunity to take part in diversity awareness training. The training aims to highlight the importance of diversity, and also make staff aware of their legislative responsibilities.
Here is a short film clip highlighting the International flavour of our University community, and featuring some of our support units. (There’s an audio commentary too, so turn on your speakers!)
Group training sessions are run at every Staff Induction session and you can access the powerpoint presentation here:Equality and Diversity Presentation
However, if you are unable to attend diversity training at induction, we ask that you complete an on-line module instead.
To begin the on-line course, follow these 3 steps:
1. Go to web-site: http://st-andrews.marshallacmtraining.co.uk/login?returnURL=trainee/default
2. Click on the ‘New Users: Register Here’ link
3. Complete your details NB: your e-mail address is ….@st-andrews.ac.uk NOT ….@st-and.ac.uk You will then be sent an e-mail with log-in details and you can begin the course whenever you like.
To complete the course and be registered as having ‘attended’ diversity training, you must complete the end of module quiz. When you do this, your training record will be updated by CAPOD.
If you have any difficulties, questions or comments, please contact CAPOD on x2141 or email capod@st-andrews.ac.uk
