st andrews

St Andrews is Scotland's first university and the third oldest in the English-speaking world, founded in 1413.

The Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Facility is located on level 1 of the Centre for Biomolecular Sciences at the University of St. Andrews.

The facility is dedicated to providing a comprehensive mass spectrometry service focussing on proteins and peptides.

The instrumentation for this facility is funded by the Wellcome Trust.

We now have 2 new instruments! An ABSciex 5600 TripleTOF (roughly 1000 times more sensitive than a QStar and able to run 50 MSMS per second), and a Micromass LCT for whole protein analyses!

We are always happy to discuss collaborations with researchers from universities outside St. Andrews.
