Retrospective Ethical Review

Retrospective ethics review is NOT permitted.   It is fundamental to the policy of the University Teaching and Research Ethics Committee that all research and teaching activities of all staff and students in all Schools/Departments/Units of the University that involve living human subjects, tissues and/or other samples should not begin before an ethical review has taken place either by the School Ethics Committee (sub-committee of UTREC) or UTREC itself.
