Ethical Funders
A sub-committee of UTREC has been appointed by the Vice Principal of Research to take an overview of sponsors (firms and institutions) providing funding for research and assess whether funding should be accepted.
All researchers must complete a Funders Ethical Application Form (in addition to an Ethical Application Form, where this is also required). They should also be aware that some bodies providing funding for projects may stipulate their own Ethical and Legal considerations. The researcher should be fully aware of any obligations specified by the body providing funding and the implications this may or may not have for their research and methods of research.
