University managed scholarship opportunities

Robert Lincoln McNeil Scholarship

Partner University of Pennsylvania
Details One generous scholarship which covers most of the cost of room and board, plus other expenses.
Eligibility Applicants must have grown up in a Scottish cultural background.

Robert T Jones Memorial Trust Scholarship

Partner Emory University
Details Covers board, transatlantic airfares and a generous personal allowance.
Eligibility Applicants must be of British nationality.

Note: the Robert T Jones Memorial Trust Scholarship is not managed by CSA; please refer to Development for details.

Canadian Robert T Jones Jr. Scholarships

Partners Queen's University and Western University
Details Up to eight annual scholarships of $6,000 (Canadian) are offered byt he Robert T Jones Jr. Foundation
Eligibility This scholarship is available to students selected for either of the above exchanges. Applicants will be asked to write a short essay on Bobby Jones.

600th Anniversary Scholarships: St Andrews Students Abroad

We are delighted that one of the key projects for the 600th Campaign is St Andrews Students Abroad, which seeks to establish a scholarship fund to help more St Andrews students with the costs of study abroad.

Please note that should you be in receipt of a scholarship for your exchange or Study Abroad programme, and you return home early, you will be required to return the scholarship.

External scholarship opportunities

Stevenson Exchange and Scottish-Italian Scholarships

Partner Institutions in France, Germany, Italy and Spain
Details Awards range in value from £250 to £2,000. Full details are available from School of Modern Languages.
Eligibility Undergraduates of any Faculty and graduates of not more than twenty-five years of age of any Scottish University undergoing a University placement or working as a Teaching Assistant abroad.

British Council China Scholarship

Partner Renmin University
Details Means-tested scholarships administered by the Chinese Scholarship Council and the British Council.
Eligibility

Outstanding UK students who wish to study at mainland Chinese universities. 

The British Council China Scholarship is only open to UK citizens. However, the Chinese Government offers numerous scholarships to study in China to those of all nationalities through the Chinese Scholarship Council.

DUO-Singapore Exchange Fellowship

Partner National University of Singapore
Details Each selected undergraduate student will be awarded 4,000€. See the NUS website for more details.
Eligibility Full-time undergraduate students from partner universities in Europe coming to NUS on exchange are eligible to apply for the DUO.
