Erasmus students please note: failure to return Erasmus documentation may delay payment of your Erasmus Mobility Grant or mean that you forfeit your grant.  See Erasmus for further programme information.

1. Work Placement Agreement (Word, 162 KB) 

What? This is both your application to undertake a work placement and your training agreement.  Please complete in consultation with your Study Abroad Co-ordinator. Once completed, it should be sent to your host organisation for signature and then returned to you so that it can be signed by your Study Abroad Co-ordinator.  Your form should then be submitted to CSA for institutional approval.  This document also ensures we have the correct information on your student record and helps us assess your Erasmus eligibility.
Who? All students EXCEPT those intending to be British Council Language Assistants and Chemistry students who are NOT on Erasmus placements.
When? Final deadline: end of week 8 of the semester prior to your placement abroad.

 

2. WIYA Pre-departure Agreement (Word, 98 KB)

What? This form will be emailed to you.  Please complete and sign to confirm that you agree to the WIYA Terms & Conditions (PDF, 201 KB) or Chemistry EP Terms & Conditions (PDF, 195 KB)  as appropriate.
Who?

All students participating in a WIYA programme EXCEPT students whose programme is through Russian (please see Study Abroad Terms & Conditions instead).

All students participating in a Chemistry External Placement.

When? Final deadline: end of June 2012 for WIYA students; Friday 13 July 2012 for Chemistry External Placement students.

 

3. Work Placement Agreement Language Assistant (Word, 140 KB) 

What? Please complete and have signed by your Co-ordinator and your headteacher/ mentor.
Who? All students undertaking British Council Language Assistantships.
When? Final deadline: no later than 4 weeks after commencing placement abroad.  Please note that Erasmus students who fail to return this document by this deadline will forfeit Erasmus funding.

 

4. Erasmus Mobility Contract

What? This will be emailed to you in August.  In signing your personalised contract, you are agreeing to meet the obligations of the placement period stated and to return all documents by the stipulated deadlines to avoid any delay in the payment of your Mobility Grant.
Who? Erasmus students only.
When? Final deadline: four weeks after receipt of Mobility Contract via email.  Please note that the University will be unable to pay your Erasmus grant without receipt of your signed contract.

 

5. Student Acknowledgement of Receipt of Grant (Word, 99 KB) 

What? Please acknowledge receipt of your Erasmus grant.  It is important that you ensure the dates of departure and return on this document match the period of work stated on your Mobility Contract as this is the period for which the grant has been awarded, and the receipt will be held for audit purposes.
Who? Erasmus students only.
When? On receipt of each Erasmus grant payment. Final deadline: four weeks after receipt of grant.

 

6. Certificate of Attendance - Work (PDF, 94 KB) 

What? This form must be signed by your host employer/ headteacher at the end of your placement.
Who? Erasmus students only.
When? At the end of your placement abroad.  Final deadline: 15 July of the academic session during which you were abroad.

 

7. Erasmus Report - Placement                

What? Please complete the British Council's online report form.
Who? Erasmus students only.
When? At the end of your placement abroad. Final deadline: 15 July of the academic session during which you were abroad.
 

The online form requires the following identification numbers for the University of St Andrews:

  • Erasmus ID code:     UK ST-ANDR01
  • EUC number:            28004-IC-1-2007-UK-ERASMUS-EUCX-1

 

8. Student Report - Work Abroad (Word, 125 KB)

What? Please evaluate your placement and help us to develop our work abroad programmes - your feedback is valued.
Who? All students.
When? At the end of your placement abroad. Final deadline: end of Orientation Week when you return to St Andrews.
