Independent study spaces
Most Schools offer students independent access to study spaces outside formal class hours. This gives them good study spaces for their independent work, individually or in groups. The rooms can be booked for academic work, in support of student societies, a formal reception or a student-led seminar / workshop. Private social functions are not typically allowed. The size and number of rooms available, and how they are booked, varies around the University so please check your School Handbook or ask the School secretary. Where there is demand, Schools are also asked to make extra study space available during revision periods (e.g. the lecture rooms or seminar rooms not then being used for formal teaching).
