Passport to Cleaning Excellence
This development programme for Estates Cleaning staff comprises training modules which relate to both tasks and interpersonal skills. This programme is delivered by staff from Estates and CAPOD and leads to the award of a certificate of completion for participants.
If you would like to join the programme and be issued with your own passport, please contact CAPOD on: coursescapod@st-andrews.ac.uk
Please note, participants require their manager's permission to take part in the programme.
Objectives
- Deliver key skills training to all Estates Cleaners
- Develop confidence in all aspects of the role
- Recognise professionalism and achievement
Format
Two complementary strands of training:
Key Features
- Record of learning. Participants are issued with a passport in which they record the key learning points from each module. This enables review and reflection in the future. The passport is stamped to provide a record of progress through the programme.
- Participants are given pre-accreditation for any modules they have completed recently, prior to beginning the programme.
- Programme folders are issued so that the participants can keep all handouts and reference material in a binder.
- On completion, each participant receives a signed certificate.
The first wave of staff completed their passports over the summer of 2011, and can be seen here received their programme completion certificates. Congratulations to them all!
