About Q6

Q6The Q6 review and development scheme was launched in August 2006. It has been rolled out to all staff at the University of St Andrews.

Q6 aims to provide all University staff the opportunity to have an annual review, and provides a framework to help structure a productive review meeting. Staff will be encouraged to review their past performance, and plan ahead for their future development.

The Q6 form contains six questions for all staff to reflect on in advance of their review meeting. Each School and Unit also has the opportunity to customise the form by adding additional questions.

For new staff, Q6 now forms part of staff probation. For more information about how Q6 is used in the probationary process, please see the support staff probationary process or the academic staff probationary process.
