5. External examiners - undergraduates / taught postgraduates
- Audience: This policy is for the attention of Heads of Schools, Directors of Teaching, Directors of Postgraduate Studies, Registry and CAPOD.
- Scope: This policy applies to all undergraduate and taught postgraduate External Examiners in the University.
- Responsibilities: Policy author: Proctor's Office. Responsibility for the implementation of the policy lies with Heads of Schools and Deans.
- Relationship with existing policies: This policy supersedes the Policy on External Examining dated June 2010. More information about the role of External Examiners can also be found within the Policy documents Assessment Policies and Procedures and Assessment: Marking and Standard Setting.
