Strategic Enhancement of Learning Fund (SELF)
Staff can apply to the fund for awards of up to £2,500 (projects involving multiple Schools/Units can bid for up to £5,000) to support projects that link explicitly to any of the Quality Assurance Agency Scotland's Enhancement Themes. The Enhancement Themes aim to enhance the student learning experience in Scottish higher education by identifying specific areas (Themes) for development. The Themes encourage staff and students to share current good practice and collectively generate ideas and models for innovation in learning and teaching.
Submission date: Friday 22nd March 2013
There is a maximum of £10,000 to be disbursed by a competitive process in Semester 2. Bids for less than the maximum amount will allow more projects to be funded and are therefore welcome. New lecturing staff are particularly encouraged to make applications to the fund.
See also: FILTA: Fund for Innovations in Learning, Teaching & Assessment which supports projects that support innovation and development in learning, teaching & assessment. (Available in Semester 1).
