FILTA Submission Deadline & Evaluation

Please note that the aim and format of FILTA is under review this semester, so we will not be accepting any applications at this time. Further information will be available in November.

The FILTA Evaluation Panel will inform applicants of the outcomes via letter/email one month after the submission deadline.

There is a total of £10,000 to be disbursed in a competitive bidding process. The evaluation panel may choose not to disburse the whole fund. In some cases a decision may be made to award only partial funding to a project. If this happens a discussion with the applicants about the costing of the project will be initiated prior to announcing the list of successful fully or partially funded projects. A brief explanation will be given to applicants whose bids are unsuccessful. In the latter case, applicants may be encouraged to re-submit their proposals in the next funding cycle, taking into account feedback given on the initial submission.

Evaluation Panel

  • Dr Heather McKiggan-Fee (Educational & Postgraduate Researcher Developer, CAPOD)
  • Mrs Carol Morris (Director, CAPOD)
  • Dr Alice Crawford
  • Prof Nic Beech (Dean of Arts)
  • Prof Al Dearle (Dean of Science)
  • Ms Amanda Litherland  (Director of Representation, Students' Association)

All claims for funding must be made in full within one month of notification of receiving an award.

Members of staff who receive awards are required to produce a number of outputs: see Dissemination of Project Outcomes.
