Fund for Initiatives in Learning, Teaching and Assessment (FILTA)
Staff can apply to the fund for awards of up to £2,500 (projects involving multiple Schools/Units can bid for up to £5,000) to support innovation and development in learning, teaching and assessment - especially where the development requires pump-priming finance that cannot be provided from normal departmental resources.
There is a maximum of £10,000 to be disbursed by a competitive process in Semester 1. Bids for less than the maximum amount will allow more projects to be funded and are therefore welcome. New lecturing staff are particularly encouraged to apply.
See also the SELF (Strategic Enhancement of Learning Fund) which supports projects that link explicitly to any of the Quality Assurance Agency Scotland's Enhancement Themes. (Available in Semester 2.)
