Peer review
A peer review scheme is in place to encourage and support teaching and personal staff development. The scheme is voluntary for members of academic staff.
Postgraduate tutors/demonstrators should be involved in peer review (also known as peer observation of teaching), both as observers and observed during at least one postgraduate teaching session. Please refer to the School-based training guidance for postgraduate tutors for further details.
The guidance below provides summary information about successful implementation, practical tips on the structuring of the teaching observation process and a variety of exemplar materials that can be either adopted or adapted for particular purposes. There is also a selected bibliography and links to other resources.
