Saints Sport Scholarships
The Department of Sport & Exercise, in partnership with the Athletic Union, offers a support programme to athletes who show exceptional abilities and potential whilst studying at St Andrews. Typically there are five, £1,000 scholarships offered per academic year.
Who can apply?
Students competing at SUS/Regional Squad level and above in any sports disciplines are eligible to apply for an individual Sports Scholarship. In recent years, most scholars have been at junior international level and above.
Scholarships will only be awarded to students matriculated for the full academic year and will be awarded at the start of Semester 1.
Scholarship selection and application
Scholarship applications must be received within the first 10 days of the start of Semester 1. For 2012-2013 the deadline for applications is Wednesday 26 September at 5.00pm.
Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed the week beginning Monday 1 October. Only those that fulfil the performance level requirements and show a commitment and dedication to improve will be considered.
