The University of St AndrewsÂ’ Hall of Fame

Overview
We believe that the Hall of Fame should recognise the achievements of those who have performed at the highest level, have a close connection to the University and who also embody the Saints Sport ideals.
The Hall of Fame should provide the students and staff from St Andrews with inspiration, showing them how people in a similar position to themselves can perform at a global level.
Eligibility
The best way to achieve this is to have inductees that they can directly relate to, i.e. ex students and staff of the university.
The new eligibility criteria for the Hall of Fame are:
- A direct connection to the University
- Any student
- Any member of staff employed by the university
- An extremely high level of performance or feat of national significance
Nominations
Nominations for the Hall of Fame will be accepted at any time and should be directed to the Athletic Union President (president@saints-sport.com). In order to be considered for the same academic year, nominations will need to be submitted by the end of January. Any nominations received after this time will roll over to the next academic year.
Please include your own personal contact details, the details of the person who you are nominating as well as outlining the achievements and eligibility of the candidate who you are nominating.
Decision
A committee made up of the Athletic Union President, Athletic Union Vice-President, Athletic Union Alumni Officer, Athletic Union Student Sport Development Manager, Director of Sport and Performance Sport Manager will meet once a year to review nominations of people who meet the eligibility criteria for the Hall of Fame. Each nomination will be voted on and a majority (i.e. 4 out of the 6) must be reached for a candidate to be inducted.
Award
Invites to the Hall of Fame will come from the Principal.
Saints Sport will hold a ceremony annually where the inductees will be invited to St. Andrews. This year the award ceremony will take place on the 25th April.
