St Andrews Colts Training Camp

On Monday 15th October several young football stars from St Andrews Colts descended on the University for a week long training camp. 3 of the Colts youngest squads: 5-7's, Under 9's and Under 11's turned up in an array of Premier League, SPL and International football kits eager to get started.
Throughout the course of the week the youngsters were put through their paces by Sports Development Manager Gary Brankin and Junior Saints coaches Stuart Sloan and Chris Pringle. The kids worked on passing, dribbling, control, possession, shooting and skills and then had the opportunity to put what they had learnt into practice in matches.
The youngsters and the coaches had a thoroughly enjoyable week with the highlights undoubtedly being the Under 11's prearranged bomb goal celebration (see video below) and the 5-7's spongebob square pants routine.
This was the 3rd training camp that the University has arranged for the Colts and hopefully the relationship between the two organisations can continue to go from strength to strength.
